Introducing a NEW BLOG SERIES, Aligned Aesthetic: The Intersection of Design and Spirituality

spiritual led creators web design

Over here at House of Poppy, we blend two passions as seamlessly as we can: great design and spirituality (or personal growth, whichever resonates more for you). As much as we love writing about design tips and how to make the most of the Squarespace platform, we also feel so pulled by the desire to learn more about ourselves and growing deeply, getting to know ourselves in a way that can even be scary at times. Design can be so emotional, and dare we say, it should be.

That is why we are starting a new blog series, Aligned Aesthetic, that will specifically cover where design and growth intersect.

We want to feel something when we scroll down a page, whether we realize it or not. Sure, maybe some people who aren’t as into this stuff as you and I are, may not be aware of this concept, but we’d be willing to bet that if they started tuning into it, they would realize it. When pages do not get their messages across to the user, or there is too much distraction to even know what you are supposed to be feeling, the website is simply not going to be as successful. Feeling something also keeps your audience interested. Would you want to continue watching a movie with characters that were boring and never seeming to elicit any kind of emotion? Probably not. Think of your website almost like watching a movie, in that there are different sections (scenes?), and as you move from one to the next, you might feel something different, or like one section builds on the next.

There are SO many different topics to cover under these two giant and fascinating umbrellas! Keep an eye out for the first post in the series, which will also be appearing on our new Substack account. Can’t wait to hear what you think!
